December 16, 2010- Albuquerque, NM- Gilbert Baca III (G3) finally got some of his due in court today. He was found gulity and sentenced to 21 years in prision for a combination of several cases outstanding on him. He was taken into custody and will serve no less than 3 years in RPrison. This makes him a 2 or 3 time convicted felon and there is more..
He was supported by his wife in court who denounced the people, prosecutors and police there in court. Apparently, she still didn't see the fact that he actually commited many, many crimes and he plead guilty on his own accord. Why is it always someone else's fault?
The crux of the main case against Baca was the criminal tax evasion case brought by NM Tax and Revenue. I think this case signals a dramatic shift in the way this agency is handeling bad guys. They are really going after them and it is good news for some of the current offenders in Albuquerque Security. Maybe we finally have some advocates who will level the playing field. Either way, Baca got some of his.
He was not joined by any friends (except a couple of pastors), his father, mother or long-time former business partner Joe Stidham. Is it possible that he really burnt that many bridges? Oh yea, we are talking about the guy who burned his own house down in attempt to cover up some of his crimes.. Good riddance.
