Albuquerque Security- Dumb Things A Former Manager Can Do #1

I have noticed, over the years, that managers that are planning to make an exit will exhibit certain traits and take certain predictable actions.  Albuquerque Security is nothing, if not predictable.  I imagine that other security company owners around the country have the same problems.  In fact, I think it would be a good idea to make a reality show of Albuquerque Security. (I am not kidding..) 

Managers have special access to information, the ability to be at the office when others are not there and they feel that they can take information without consequence and receive no blame.  

1. Former managers try to erase hard-drives on computers.  They think that this will cover up things they have done or logs for time that they have spent watching porn, playing video games, IM'ing with girlfriends or chatting on Face Book.  
2. Stealing Company employment files for themselves and their friends.  This has got to be one of the oldest stupid tricks in the book, yet they still try.  Fortunately, I have been through a number of bad employee break ups and make copies of all manager files to keep at my house.  I do this without their knowledge.  Former managers who do this are really stupid.  The ones who brag about it to others are especially dumb.
3. Attempt to cover-up or hide things that they have done wrong.  This is self explanatory.

Again, many of these things are predictable so smart company owners will put safeguards into place to stop the theft of information.  I recommend making police reports about the theft and if the former manager's actions go to hiding crimes then the crime of tampering with evidence is established.  Report these violations to the Regulation and Licensing Board.  Take statements and affidavits from witnesses and people who the bonehead managers have mentioned this information to.  Record conversations with people who give you information.  Hire someone to clean the computer hard drive, which isn't hard and costs less than $200.  Erasure programs or standard deletion of files can easily be over-written.  Figure out what was on the hard drives and take the appropriate actions with the information.  Anything illegal should go back to the cops and anything involving marital issues should go the the husband or wife..

This was a general topic to help security business owners avoid the hassles that I have been through.

 

Specifically- Perine- you are caught.  Your hard-drive is big analyzed now and yes, everything can be retrieved.  All of your recent activity is logged and it will all be sent where it needs to go.  You are an idiot for bragging that you stole your company file.  Witness statements obtained.  You are stupid for stealing other people's files when you thought they would go with you to your new company.  You talk too much and one loyal Summit employee in particular gave me a long statement about you.  Another, weaker one also gave a statement.  You talk too much and you tell people all of your business.  They tell me.  It is ALL coming out.. Danny Orozco was terminated today for violation of SOP, lying and violation of his non-compete agreement.  xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx wasn't a good idea.  Witness statement obtained.  (this is all fact. opinions contained therein)

I found it necessary to discover that Nick P. had a civil judgement for around $13,000. (fact)  People think you can't get blood from a turnip? (opinion)  I mean, Nick P is on SSI- he doesn't have any money..(opinion)  Nick's company is a sole proprietorship. (fact)  That means the income produced from the company is personal income and can go to satisfy judgments. (fact) I spoke to the attorney for the judgement creditor, Rio Grand Credit Union, and notified them of the debt that NARA Bank out of New York owes him, represented by a local Albuquerque attorney. (fact)  There are others who I think owe Nick P. money and they were all disclosed to this attorney. (fact)

"What's in it for me," asks the attorney..  I am happy to help people collect money and do a good thing for a credit union when I can.  I was just a guy minding my own business last week before all of this started happening.  Oh well, it happens..

What To Do When You Find a Dirty Security Company- How To Create Karma 101..

I was minding my own business, as usual, and working in the Albuquerque Security industry.  I have a good company and we have many employees and their families that depend on their work and employment with my company.  The economy is rough but we have managed to ALWAYS pay our employees on time, each payday.  We pay all of our taxes and sales tax.  We pay our vendors.  With the little amount that is left over we pay ourselves.  Things used to be a lot better but then this down-turn hit us and the entire industry.  We definitely have the best managed security company in the state with the promotion of our new managers.

We are a family owed business and we have a core management team of people who have become good friends to me and my wife.  They take care of our company and watch our backs.  We have focused on concentrating on the positive lately and we have gained many clients because we offer 24/7 service, do a great job at supervision and we care.  The future looked bright.  I have spent little time on the negative and just focused on giving our customers more.

We had a couple of key employees that started doing strange things.  At first it just sounded like a security rumor but with a little investigation they all proved true and then some.. This was bad because I trusted these supervisors and I didn't see it coming.  Some of the other employees had raised concerns but I gave these other guys the benefit of the doubt, even until a few days ago.  I don't know too many people who think that I am too nice and trusting but that is the case with people who I come to rely on.  I don't micro-manage.  Maybe I should..

Turns out the company had some big problems and one was this former manager that resigned because I was asking him to be accountable for easy things.  Once he left, we found many problems that had been going on for a long time.  His "partner" turned out to be a complete liar and he was double dealing us too.  It took a lot of investigation but people in the security business listen and document things that happen.  I was approached by a few that would help and actually heard "it from the horse's mouth."  

The crux of the story-line was simple.  These bonehead former managers of my company (total wannabe cops) decided to try to work for a competitor on the down low.  One guy who has some money was even going to buy into this illegal firm.  I called and spoke to all of the players and they all denied everything.  It turns out that two of my current employees went to this competitor's office in my company cars, while on duty and in uniform.  One introduced himself as the "partner" of the loser, wanna be competitor (while he was in my friggin company uniform!)  The other went over to this property in my company car, in uniform and was doing some "scavenger hunting" that the police were interested in.  Some people's kids are so stupid.

Either way, I decided it was time to look for the truth on the competitor's company.  It turned out to be very ugly and somewhat entertaining.  Here is a summary of my reporting to state agencies on their illegal activity:

• New Mexico Tax/Rev- non payment of sales tax
• NM Worker's Compensation- with a list of current and former employees
• NM Workforce Solutions
• NM Child Support Enforcement- hiding from baby mommas aint cool
• NM Attorney General
• NM Private Investigator's Board- I won't hold my breath for decisive action
• NM DPS for theft of things
• APD for theft of things
• APD for gang unit stuff/ associations
• APD for company's officers not being licensed, making a habit of shooting guns at people *2x
• Albuquerque Zoning for illegal Zoning
• US Department of Labor- Unemployment fraud
• US Inspector General- SSI fraud
• US IRS- Tax Fraud

I found it necessary to discover that this bonehead competitor has a recent civil judgement.  Since his company is a sole proprietorship all moneys owed to this company are personal.  In my experience, attorneys have been really happy to discover people who owe their DEBTORS money that they can garnish. $13,000 + attorney's fees and costs looks good sitting in an attorney's trust account.  Anyway, knowledge is power.  When it happens know that this was from me and you can hate me but can't do anything to me because I told the truth. 

I also notified the news, twice..

I called Santa and he put these guys on the naughty list and the Easter Bunny says no Eggs this year.  All of these guys need to lay off of the sweets anyway because their teeth are already black..  I am suing my two idiots next week and luckily one guy has some money to collect.  It doesn't make me happy to have to resort to these measures but I have been through this and it is noting personal.  Hell, I wrote a book about it. (I also know about you two to are still employed with me and were hanging out at the hotel.  Your days are numbered)    Why do people always test me?   You could've left well enough alone.  I guess that is whatmakes some people really stupid, they go looking for fights that they will lose.

I heard that some idiot said that I was working for AKAL Security and that Summit Security was sold.  While it is a good story, it is completely untrue.  The New Mexico Security Industry is still very important to me, my company is not for sale and there is still no Easter bunny.  I am just too busy to blog these days.  Have a nice day.

Robb Hamic writes a book teaching people how to investigate and expose the truth.

August 30, 2010- Austin TX-  Robb Hamic is the publisher of this blog.  He appreciates the opportunity to present this information to the community.  Who is he and why do he do this?  These are common questions for him.  He has become a controversial person as he started this blog but time has proven most of the things that he has represented on this forum.  There are some issues that have not gained full exposure yet but the blog goes on. 

 Robb Hamic gained his investigative experience as a Sheriff's Deputy and Detective.  He became licensed as a private investigator in 1999 and started his own firm.  The firm grew and he became licensed in several states in the United States and carried out a variety of investigations in the beginning of his career in private business. Robb concentrated early on with surveillance and counter-surveillance for individuals.  He gained a quick skill set in corporate investigation and intelligence.  He learned how to uncover facts about companies and entities, especially the facts that the owners didn't want disclosed.  These skills transferred to the private sector and he continued to develop the specialized ability to find out everything about a person.  He had setbacks including bad key employees that stole money and caused problems in his business.  Hamic learned the value of knowing how to expose people for the truth and cultivated many tactics to his advantage.  Over the years, he rolled out this service to his clients.  After all, the truth is the truth.

Robb Hamic started his career in law enforcement training in 2003 after one of his employees and friend was killed in the line of duty.  He decided that he needed to train his growing staff in-house   and became determined to teach all areas of law enforcement operations, weapons and methodologies.  He learned ground fighting from Tom Vaughan of FIT NHB, in Albuquerque, and had the opportunity to train with several professional MMA fighters and continues his friendships with many fighters in the MMA industry.  He had several articles published in the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainer's (ASLET) Magazine about ground fighting in 2003-2004.  Robb always specialized in gun training and fighting.

In the meantime Hamic continued blogging.  The Fake Self Defense Instructor Blog grew in popularity pretty quickly because of all of the information being uncovered by Hamic and the contributors to the blog.  Robb says, "There had been a void of information and accountability in the martial arts industry.  People were afraid to use their real names and people resisted hearing negative information even though it was truthful.  I decided to hit it head on."  In the process, Robb continued to train military law, enforcement, men   and especially women in fighting, gun deployment and concealed carry licensing in 39 US states.  He continued private investigation and intelligence gathering.  He found time to write a book that has now been published and distributed world-wide.  The book, Karma's Helpers, teaches people to do just as the title suggests.  It also happens that this is Robb's specialty.  He combines his unique ability to investigate people, find information/intelligence and disseminate the truth to the world on any topic using the most advanced methods for 2010.  Read the book and you can master his craft.

Karma's Helpers is written for today's world. and one of its most senior instructor's Yigal Arbiv.  "The training was hard.  It caused me to question most of what I had been taught previously in life about fighting but I learned the truth," he says.  Robb earned his full instructor's diploma and he has come back to Austin Texas and is founding some clubs teaching Israeli Krav Maga in the area.  

Why does he do this?  It is not simple and it is risky.  He receives death threats and is involved in assembling evidence and information for criminal prosecution against several of the targets of this blog.  Is there risk?  Yes.  Robb takes on risk with his other work and feels that it is his duty to do what he can to right this wrong in the best possible way.  Simply, people need to pay.  Fraud needs to stop.

May 3, 2010-  It seems to have been a long time coming but I got word today that   Joseph Stidham, Chief of Bosque Farms Police Department is being terminated today.  It may have already happened or he may resign first- who knows... In addition, a high-level source says that the New Mexico State Police have been investigating Stidham for some time for: embezzlement, forgery, fraud and a host of other felonies that will air out shortly. (not Baca incident)

I have been reporting about Stidham of years now, making complaints to any governmental agency that would listen and it has defied logic that he has remained in his position of power for so long.  It looks like his ride has come to an end thanks to NMSP.  Another BFPD officer was arrested in April.  Ron Haley had been a Lieutenant under Studham at BFPD for a year or more.  It is unknown if Haley is still on administrative leave or what.  

It is nice to see that the old Legit Security/ ICU Crew has all finally had to face some kind of justice.  Corruption, plain and simple.  I know that there are still a lot of unpaid former employees who are happy but still left owed wages that will never be paid.  The state certainly had plenty of notice..

Oh, I almost forgot.  I received a call from a good friend of mine who was approached by two "thug looking" probable law enforcement people last Friday at a sporting event for his kids.  Apparently, these morons followed him and had been following him for days in a black Chevrolet Blazer with a temporary tag.  One man was a Hispanic short and squatty looking guy with short hair and there was another white guy on the phone in the blazer when my friend approaches.  The thug was leaning against his truck and said, "your partner better back off or this is going to get ugly.  Leave Bosque Farms out of this or the gloves are coming off."  He mentioned a few other things trying to intimidate my pal.  

This was not a good idea because this friend of mine is one highly trained, gun toting and short tempered individual when the circumstances dictate.  Let's just say that the thugs left the scene with less ego than they came with.  Message received assholes.  Loud and clear.  Stop all of the anonymous death threats from restricted numbers, nasty messages, overall stupid behavior and threatening people so I "get the message." It could get you arrested for intimidation of a witness.  Stupid morons.  All of this stuff gets recorded and reported to law enforcement.  Do you really think a call block works in this high tech world?  Think again idiots.

Sleep well, you two (and my latest callers).  You will be identified and there are more criminal cases going now than anyone can count.  I am a witness in most of them and that makes what you did a crime.  Felony to be exact.  I am in touch with all of the agencies involved.

30-24-3. Bribery or intimidation of a witness; retaliation against a witness.

A.     Bribery or intimidation of a witness consists of any person knowingly:   

(1)     giving or offering to give anything of value to any witness or to any person likely to become a witness in any judicial, administrative, legislative or other official cause or proceeding to testify falsely or to abstain from testifying to any fact in such cause or proceeding;   

(2)     intimidating or threatening any witness or person likely to become a witness in any judicial, administrative, legislative or other official cause or proceeding for the purpose of preventing such individual from testifying to any fact, to abstain from testifying or to testify falsely; or   

(3)     intimidating or threatening any person or giving or offering to give anything of value to any person with the intent to keep the person from truthfully reporting to a law enforcement officer or any agency of government that is responsible for enforcing criminal laws information relating to the commission or possible commission of a felony offense or a violation of conditions of probation, parole or release pending judicial proceedings.   

B.     Retaliation against a witness consists of any person knowingly engaging in conduct that causes bodily injury to another person or damage to the tangible property of another person, or threatening to do so, with the intent to retaliate against any person for any information relating to the commission or possible commission of a felony offense or a violation of conditions of probation, parole or release pending judicial proceedings given by a person to a law enforcement officer.   

C.     Whoever commits bribery or intimidation of a witness is guilty of a third degree felony.   

D.     Whoever commits retaliation against a witness is guilty of a second degree felony.

Robb Hamic: "We were all right, time and time again. It just took some time."

December 14, 2009- Albuquerque, NM- Robb Hamic has been blogging about illegitimate security companies in New Mexico since May of 2008.  One of the most notorious companies was Legit Security, directed by Gil Baca.  Robb had a lot of help along the way from security professionals and people who had been wronged by Baca, his employees, partners and company.  Baca and his cohorts denied all of the endless charges and evidence and often claimed that all of it was fabricated by Robb Hamic for some unknown reason, which was untrue and false.  Baca called upon God to stop all of the blogging that ensued about him and his company.  He even started his own blog and openly told all of his employees about it.  He cites rumor and threats but provided no real information about anything.  He used his blog (which stopped being published November 24, 2009) to redirect blame and his own shame towards Robb Hamic by making up lies.  You see, Baca is a criminal and that is what they do.  Today, he is sitting in a cold cell in the Albuquerque Metro Detention Center because on top of being charged with 77 felony counts (facing 102 years in prison), he violated the terms of his release and bond.  He has been in jail for over two weeks now and there is no telling when and if he will ever get out. 

Why did Robb Hamic blog about Gil Baca?  He is a crook.   Plain and simple.  Robb got threats, harassment, false things said about him and even numerous death threats.. Why do people who disagree with us read the NM Security Blog?

The NM Security Blog is a public forum, yes.  It lists public record information and other information complied by hundreds of people in the security industry.  Many people want to remain anonymous so I am happy to publish credible information that can be verified.

Some people don't want this information to get out.  That is no surprise to me.  If you are operating an illegal security company, preying on your employees or otherwise operating outside of regulations this is not the place for you.  I do, however, get hundreds of e-mails or comments per week expressing praise for what I do through this blog.  I do it with the help of many other professionals in the New Mexico Security industry.  Many other legitimate company owners are in contact with me and I am in contact with them.  I have always offered this blog for open content and will publish appropriate articles by any legitimate company owners, security guards or industry professionals that meet the guidelines for this blog.  Submit any proposed posts to me through my e-mail: robb@callsummit.com.  Get involved.

I don't do this as much as I used to and I have no plans to continue blogging forever.  I will continue to do this until there is some change brought to the industry by Regulation and Licensing, law enforcement and the court system to enforce and regulate illegal activity.
