I found it necessary to report another Albuquerque security company to the AUTHORITIES last week. It became apparent that Nicholas Panagoulakos and Professional Security in Albuquerque were not playing by the rules. This was a complicated case but it had the same old story-line.. (fact)
It became obvious that I needed to notify some of the below agencies about this company, Nick's and his manager's/ employee's violations of the law: (fact) (most of the employees are good people who just needed a job and had no idea of Nick P's issues..) (opinion)

This is part of the email that I sent to officials on Friday:
Hello to all:
I am writing to put everyone on the same page. I am including several agencies in here as there is something for everybody and this will detail many illgal and Nick P. (all info listed below) is currently operating a LICENSED security company, professioinal Security. He is in violation of the licensing statutes because he has no insurance, commercial liability or worker's compensation. (fact) Furthermore, he is operating in violation of the law and at a danger to the public and his own guards. One of his guards, Andrew Ford was recently arrested last week for negligent use of of a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a handgun and tampering with evidence. He was booked into jail on 11 felony counts. (fact) Nick P. bailed him out with his own money and Ford is standing trail. (fact) This happened while he was in uniform and acting as a security guard in Albuquerque on Central Avenue at the American Legion. Nick P. did not report this to the PI Board as required by law. See attached criminal complaint. (fact)
I spoke at length to two of Nick P's employees who have been employed for years with the firm. They know that Scott Rogers, a former employee in Albuquerque, sustained serious injuries to his knee and there was no worker's compensation inurance to cover the accident. Obviously, if his officers are discharging their weapons there are lives at risk. (fact) They are highlighted below. (fact)
Apparently, there are several unlicensed guards working for him and allegedly carrying handguns. (fact) Joe Cook is allegedly one of them. (fact he is working there opinion as if he carries a handgun regularly) He is unlicensed and illegal to carry a gun or work as a security guard. He will be on patrol tonight. (opinion- he is scheduled) He started work for Nick P on December 5, 2010 and we works vehicle patrol most days. He is getting paid in cash and under the table. (fact) Cook is currently claiming and has continuously receiving unemployment for two years or so. (fact) Philip Glock is unlicensed and he has had history of being arrested while on duty as a security officer for negligent handling of a handgun and aggravated assault, see attached story in the Santa Fe Reporter. (fact) Chris Perine is a licensed guard but apparently has several police reports filed against him for assault and battery that I was unaware of until just today when I retrieved the reports form Albuquerque Police Department. (fact) Apparently, they all occurred when he was working as a security guard throughout the years. (fact) Chris Perine is now fleeing from child support obligations and is not in compliance with New Mexico and New York withholding orders. (fact- I spoke to Child support enforcement and they stated this to me)
Nick P. pays everyone in cash and there have been many employees that he has hired since he has been in business since 2008. (fact) He has no employment files on ANY EMPLOYEE and he has forced all of the current people to sign "statements that they are volunteers" in violation of who knows how many laws. By NM Statute, all security employees are required to be classified as employees and not as independent contractors. He has never paid employment taxes on anyone. (fact)
Nick P and his company do not pay NM Gross Receipts Tax. (fact) He collects tax from his customers and has grossed hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. See attached contract that was created by Nick P. that he has all of his clients sign. (fact) Currently, he is collecting around $20,000 per month (opinion- somewhat of an estimate) in gross receipts and is not paying anything to the state, criminally evading taxes. (fact) He always pays everyone in cash. Also see Nick P.'s current list of clients that Nick P.'s employee, "Major" Chris Perine delivered to my office a couple of weeks ago. It was given to two of my employees without solicitation and they are available for interview. (facts)
Nick P. is currently receiving SSI (Social Security) and defrauding the government by making money under the table. (fact) He owns six vehicles that are in operation. (opinion)
Nick P is not claiming his security income on his federal or state taxes (fact) creating more fraud and cheating NM and the US out of a lot of money. He is cheating his employees out of their Social Security, Unemployment and Medicare earnings. (fact)
Nick P. is illegally running his company office from this foreclosed hotel located at 12999 Central SE. (fact) He has no zoning license (fact) and the property may be condemned by the City of Albuquerque.(opinion) It is my understanding that Nick's employees have ransacked the hotel, stealing computers, printers, cameras, surveillance systems, 8 fire extinguishers and other property. (fact)

NM State security statutes: “registrant” means an individual registered as a private investigations employee, a private patrol operations employee or a security guard at any level; “security guard” means an individual who is registered to engage in uniformed or nonuniformed services under the direct control and supervision of a licensed private patrol operator or a private patrol operations manager to perform such security missions as watchman, fixed post guard, dog handler, patrolman or other person to protect property or prevent thefts; and
J. All complaints filed, judgments rendered or injunctions issued, whether temporary or final, against any private investigator, private patrol operator, private investigation company or his surety company shall be reported to department, within ten (10) days after receipt of the same by such private investigator, private patrol operator, private investigation company, surety company, or their agents, attorneys, or employees, together with the name of the court where filed and the name and address of the attorney for claimant, or the claimant if he has no attorney.
The failure to furnish such notice of claims or suits or such information shall be deemed sufficient to revoke or suspend any license of a private investigator, private patrol operator or private investigation company or to deem any bond for such private investigator, private patrol operator or private investigation company insufficient.
