December 13, 2010- Albuquerque, NM- I think that many people who are in the industry would agree that not much has changed. It is not because of a lack of information provided to state agencies or lack of funds collected byt he governing agency, NM Private Investigator's Board.
Unfortunately the same problems exist in the Albuquerque Security Industry that have always been here:
- Illegal and unlicensed security companies
- Unlicensed and guards with criminal backgrounds
- Uninsured Albuquerque Security companies
- Ambivalence on the part of licensing authorities
- Lack of consumer awareness
- Grossly negligent companies continually in the Albuquerque security industry
If a security guard can be arrested for 11 felony counts, while he is on duty and the state does nothing to investigate this occurrence- there is something very wrong. The NM Private Investigator's Board can't say that they weren't notified, I did it myself. Who cares? Apparently, not the state of New Mexico.
