I am a dick (among other things).

I know you are all thinking it so I will say it for you.  I am a dick.  A Private Eye ("dick" aka Detective) that is...  I can also be a jerk at times.  It is actually one of the few things that I truly enjoy doing in life.  I investigated for law enforcement and I have done it privately for about ten years.  I am good at my job and frankly, this blog has become a full-time job.  Investigating all of the leads that I come across takes a lot of time.  

Is it legal for me to do this?  I think so.  Law enforcement, state agencies, regulation agencies and private parties have come to rely on my information even if they don't like the fact that I found many of these leads before they discovered the information.  I get many leads from my readers and they freely share with me.  I think they do this because they see me taking the time to do it and want to pitch in.  They also see that I use my own name, despite the threats and "heat" that people try to throw my way.  Will I stop?  Probably not.  With that said, it is time for more good stuff...

I have told you about Gil Baca's (G-3) house "catching fire" during the day.  It was reported as a "malfunction" with the furnace.  Baca, his wife and five kids were apparently at a movie during the fire.  He arrived a couple of hours after the end of the fire, without the kids and was interviewed by investigators.  Others were interviewed.  His office manager and main administrative employee, Nita Hibben (also wife to Vice President of Legit Security Inc.) notified me that Gil's house had caught fire and said that all employee files were inside the house and were burned in the fire.  She gave me Baca's exact address.  This is important and you will see the relevance below.  It sounded fishy to me from her first e-mail.

Gil Baca also operates a business called "Empire Environmental" that specializes in heating duct cleaning, furnace inspections and other services.  It appears that Baca has a particular skill set besides stealing from people and companies that may have relevance in this fire...

How did Gil Baca and Legit Security steal another $100,000+ last week?

I got an e-mail from a representative from ADP Payroll Processing company this morning.  He wanted to speak about this very topic.  He said that Baca contacted the payroll company and wished to do Legit Security/ Enterprises payroll for its "80" employees.  ADP wanted the business and signed them up.  ADP has a policy of advancing payroll to companies and deducting the full amount of wages and taxes after two days.  The employees checks are issues and given to the company to distribute to its employees.

Anyway, this ADP representative says that he visited with Gil Baca and Bobby Rodriguez was at the office when he signed the company up.  ADP provides training for office staff so that they can process through some internal program so they provided this training to Nita Hibben.  Hibben processed payroll of approximately $98,000 (supposedly for a two week period) and then an additional one for $10,000 on the same day.  ADP issued the 80 separate checks and gave them to Legit on Tuesday May 5, 2009.  Only thing is, no guard that I can find got paid.  I have statements or e-mails from about 60 people who are owed unpaid wages by Legit (some say 6 weeks wages are owed) and there are dozens of worthless payroll checks floating around out there.  What happened to the money?  All of the checks have been cashed...  Enter, the specialty of Gil Baca...

Disappearing checks, cashed like magic, G-3 style!  Baca has previously forged endorsements on payroll checks, and deposited them into his personal accounts.  The backs of these checks will tell the tale but my bet is that they ended up in his hands.  Someone got the money and it sure wasn't the employees.

ADP called and spoke to Nita Hibben after she attempted to process another payroll in the amount of $90,000 just a few days later and canceled Legit's account because there wasn't money in its bank accounts to cover the first payroll.  Hibben promised that the money would be wired but it never came.

The ADP representative went to Legit's office on Wednesday May 6, 2009 and was confused when he met with a dozen or so employees at the office who had not been paid.  He saw the repo truck.  One of Legit's owners said "you will never get your money back."  Fu%$@!& jerk!  He was curious and started doing some "googling" and found this little old blog...  The rest is history.  I started doing my thing...

Is all of this just one coincidence?  Are you stupid?  History has repeated itself with this guy, this companies owners and employees.  History will repeat itself until the bad guys are in jail and people wise up to their slick talk.

Is this the final chapter for Gil Baca and Legit Security's antics?  Probably not.  There is always tomorrow and there are always more bread crumbs.  It is 1:30 A.M. and I am still doing my community service.  I should get a proper title for all of this, whatever it is that I do, rather than "dick."

Look how you are defending Ron a retarded Gil Baca how can't seem to stop stealing and not paying wages owed to hard working people how are just trying to pay there bill's and take care of there family's. It is funny to see a fraud go to prison. I see what you are saying Jason. It makes no sense to me either. Baca seems to feel entitled to stealing this money and does it in the open and in front of everyone. Maybe probation and reduced sentences on this previous felony charges wasn't such a good idea for New Mexicans? It makes me wonder how this guy could be partners with Joe Sidham who is the Chief of Bosque Farms Police Department. I am also wondering about that partnership in Pathfinder Firearms Outfitters with Andrew Steele. I don't see how they could get a FFL License to sell guns with Baca's record, unless they didn't tell the ATF...

from my brief experience with you it seems that you are not a dick. just a person doing what needs to be done in this industry. its just that when people do bad and mean stuff to people and get confronted by someone angry and irritated with actual facts the only thing the bad people can do is try to ruin that persons creditality with false accusations or name call. as always, keep up the good work

Well Said Rob! I commend you on your efforts in bringing these idiots down. The big guys at Legit are pathetic and have all their clients fooled. Thier patrol guys hardly hit the propertys as many times as they report, and sometimes dont even respond to the calls they get. The clients THINK their getting top notch service but i will say that its far from the truth. Legit is getting what they deserve right now and its just the beginning. IF their clients are reading this comment i will say to them GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! Stop paying for something that your not getting. I WILL say that Summit Security and Investigation is the real deal and do provide very good service. I recommend them all the time to different companies for secuirty services, so if your looking to get your money's worth + more, call Robb!
